Do I have to wear a Mask?

Presidential Executive Order 13998 requires all persons traveling on all commercial vessels to wear a mask at all times while boarding and onboard the vessels. In addition, the National Park Service requires masks indoors at all times and outdoors when social distancing cannot be maintained. When at our Marina, a mask must be worn to access our Clubhouse and we allow a maximum of two people indoors at a time.


What else do you do to issure COVID-19 safety?

We currently limit our passenger capacity to 10 people to insure proper social distancing and we sanitize the vessel after each tour. All of our crew personnel have received their vaccinations.


Do you have any rules concerning sunscreen?

Yes. We do not allow the use of sunscreen that contains Oxbenzone, Avobenzone and Octinoxate. These chemicals have been shown to cause damage to the environment. The National Park Service has begun an initiative to ban these chemicals on all National Parks. Look for sunscreen with Non-Nanotized Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide. We carry approved sunscreen onboard our vessel that you may use.


May I bring my pet?

Yes. Well behaved pets are welcome. All pets must be on a leash at all times while on land.


May I bring alcoholic beverages?

Yes. Beer and unfortified wine are welcome. No fortified spirits are allowed and no glass containers.


Do you offer any food or beverages onboard the vessel?

Yes. We carry bottled water onboard iced down in a cooler. You are welcome to enjoy the water throughout the day free of charge.


May I being a cooler?

Yes. You may being your own cooler with food and beverages. Ice is available at our Marina for a nominal fee. No styrofoam coolers are allowed.


What should I bring?

Every person should wear shoes that can get wet. Bring a hat, sunglasses, camera, towel and pack like you are going to the beach. Bring snacks and maybe pack a lunch for each person. A small bag for shell collecting is a good idea too.


What do we do with our trash?

The Cape Lookout National Seashore is a trash free park. There are no trash facilities on the Park. We have trash facilities onboard the vessel and dispose of it at the Marina when we return from the tour.


Are restroom facilities available?

We do not have a restroom onboard the vessel. There are three restroom facilities available at different locations on the Cape Lookout National Seashore.


What is your inclement weather policy?

The weather on the Outer Banks is very unpredictable. We will contact you the evening before your departure to look at the weather forecast. Rarely will we cancel a tour until the morning of departure due to weather. If the tour must be canceled, we will attempt to reschedule base upon your schedule and availability. A full refund will always be issued if the tour is canceled due to weather.


What about tipping?

Captains are always grateful for gratuities.
