This activity occurs on the Rachel Carson Reserve, a site protected by the N.C. Coastal Reserve and National Estuarine Research Reserve, a program of the Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Coastal Management, and is also a Dedicated State Nature Preserve. Free parking at the Marina.  Well behaved pets and adult beverages are welcome.  Coolers are allowed but no glass containers or styrofoam.
